The basic principles in the technology behind flight control system are

• ·         Thrust, and
• ·         Drag  

An aircraft requires control surfaces to fly and move in different directions. They make it possible for the aircraft to roll, pitch and yaw. The picture below shows the three sets of control surfaces and the axes along which they tilt.
